Becoming Rich

Welcome to your ways to becoming rich

Get Rich Quick Schemes

Do you want to become rich? If you do, you are automatically more susceptible to those tried and true get rich quick schemes and to the newer get rich schemes that are pervasive today on the internet. Get rich by clearing funds for a foreigner, by winning a lottery in the U.K. or in Africa, by investing a small sum in return for a favor. Get rich by getting money from a long lost relative or a bank account you forgot.

If you are really interested in becoming rich, concentrate on stable, proven methods. Read books, get an advisor, start a business, or use another method to build your financial wealth. It is a dream come true: you get a message from someone who offers you a fast way to become rich. But it is not reality.

To protect yourself from some of the most common get rich quick schemes, ask yourself the question your grandmother would probably ask. “Does it sound too good to be true?” If it does, it probably is. If, by some chance, a person, or company, comes up with a way to make everyone rich – a method so simple that anyone can do it and it only takes a minute to accomplish the task, don’t you think everyone would be rich by now?

To protect yourself from online scams, do not answer email messages from those you do not know. If you get a marketing email or an invitation to click on a link to get more information, mouse over the link and look at the real web site address that pops up. Chances are it doesn’t lead to a real company web site – not to the site of the company with the logo plastered all over the email – but rather to an identity theft or to a site that will lead you to invest in or buy a plan to get you rich. Buy the book or video, join the marketing team and give us your money and we can make your rich.

If you see something intriguing and you don’t want to pass the opportunity, ask the company to send you a mailing with all collaterals and information about the company, look into the company with the better business bureau, go online and look for reference sites to find complaints and accolades for the company or product that is going to help you become rich. Get the advice of a trusted colleague or friend. Don’t move too quickly. Give yourself plenty of time to think things through and act only when you have done your homework.

Don’t be the victim of a get rich quick scheme. There are better ways to make money and better ways to waste money. If you really want to get rich, come up with a better idea or product, work hard and join with other smart people to build your dream.
